Great Marketing With Zero Budget

Updated: Apr 1

Do you feel the need to market like crazy?

Choosing a Marketing Plan with No Money

You have the idea of what to market and you have an inkling of where you want to market, but the only thing is the advertising or marketing company or companies that you want to do your marketing cost an arm and a leg. You don’t even have the budget to get started. If you are in this situation, then I suggest a few things that will really make an impact going forward and will actually be more sustainable than hiring an entire marketing team. I mean you could always hire me, right? So, the cutting to the chase, the deal is, you don’t have the money to market, period. Maybe you built a website or landing page and you want people to get to it. You ask yourself; how do I get people to get to my site? Now before I try to sell you my services, I’ll give you a couple great pointers to set you up in the right direction. If you’re a social media magnate, then you might not even need these tips, but I’m going to let you in on a few secrets that helped me along the way. Here goes...

First you need to open a social media account. Preferably for the business itself that you are trying to promote. I mean you can use your personal social media accounts and then convert them, but it is usually a good idea to detach your personal information from the business information. It just looks more professional in the long run. I’m not going to suggest any social media company because I don’t want to give extra promotion to other companies, especially if they are not mine. So yeah, pick a social media account and build followers by posting relevant content and interesting pictures and what not. Try to do this as often as possible because people tend to get bored unless they see something like today. So, I usually post something every day or at least every other day.

Make sure the images look good, try to pick better pictures out of sets of pictures that you have. Nothing worse than lazy photography. For instance, let’s say you are a car photographer, and you only take pictures of half the car. Who would want to see that? Use common sense and try to take your social media to the next level. We will get to more of that topic later in “5 Ways to Stand Out from Your Competitors”. There you will learn how to really stick out like a super star amongst the same companies in the same industry. Everyone loves super stars, right? Also, you are going to need to generate some organic content to harness some free advertising. How do you do that? It’s simple.

When you connect to other people on these social media accounts, try to talk to them on-on-one or if you’ve seen this before DM, that means Direct Message. Try to direct message everyone you know. Just communicate and you will see the difference you make regarding your sales and/or services that you provide. People trust people that they know, and they’re not going to know you unless you talk to them. So, there you have it. 2 awesome secrets of the trade. Shh, don’t tell everyone that I told you these secrets. I hope they help! Much success with your social media marketing endeavors. I’m sure you will have fun meeting new people and sharing interests, adventures, life experiences, and most of all sales!
